Why use my services?

1. With so much competition on the internet these days, to be successful you need an edge. While there was a time you could get away with a poorly written website, article, email etc… as long as you had a good product, those days are gone.

To present with poor English, grammar, punctuation and so on is no longer acceptable. It shows the writer to be unprofessional and, however unfair you feel it is, having English as a second language is not an acceptable excuse. (You can trust me on that one as I struggle with my French and have to use a French proof reader!)

2. Running a business can be a very time-consuming affair and you may find that you can’t do all the things you want to do to promote, improve and develop it. That’s why you need to consider out-sourcing some of this work to a reliable and efficient person with an excellent track record.

3. For many people the amount of writing involved in running an online business is a daunting task. Before making a decision about using my services you can read something about me and my experience, and also read some testimonials from people who are already satisfied customers, most of them on-going.

Who is Maddy?

First of all I’m British, so English is my mother-tongue. I’ve lived in beautiful south-west France with my husband since 2001 although my daughters, their husbands and a new grandson are in the UK. That means lots of return visits!

The English language has always been a joy for me – I love it! I love reading, I love writing, I love grammar - in fact - I love everything about it.  I just can’t stop myself looking for errors in anything that’s written (menus, newspaper articles, posters, leaflets etc.) You name it and I’ve probably proof read it - in my mind if not in reality!

This is such a natural thing for me to do and, since I’ve always worked in the caring professions (with young people, people with learning disabilities, people in developing countries, as a counsellor etc.) proof reading also enables me to satisfy my need to help people.

What is my experience?

I think probably my most important experience is that I’m currently undertaking work for a number of people I’ve met on the internet. They live in various countries in Europe including Finland, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Norway and Sweden as well as in the USA - please see my Testimonials page.

But I’ve also had a lifetime of needing to write for my work situations. I’ve:

written reports (some of which were for high level Government officials)

designed a variety of training courses

produced leaflets and pamphlets for organizations I’ve worked for

written speeches for myself and others

written funding proposals.

Included in this latter group were proposals for successful multi-million dollar requests to the USA Government. These were written in consultation with medical consultants from different countries including Africa, Asia and Europe, where English was not their first language.

There is, of course, no obligation on your part to go ahead, but you will find that as I work from home, I can keep my charges low in comparison to many others.  

I take pride in what I do and I will not consider the job is finished until YOU are completely satisfied.

I normally have a very quick turn-a-round on work, but that depends a little on the amount I have at any given time. Suffice it to say that most people are surprised by the speed at which their work is returned!
